Entry-Level, High Energy, Sales People Needed

ABCTE is creating a new regional sales team to offer ABCTE’s teacher licensure program to career changers through schools and districts. Candidates must be hungry, aggressive, and willing to travel regionally within the state and must be willing and able to network within the public school system. $40K base, $100K potential, hands on training and growth potential offered.

ABCTE is a national non-profit organization 501(c)(3) that helps professionals to change careers and become teachers in their community. ABCTE is funded by the US Department of Education, endorsed by the State Department of Education where we are accepted, and is the fastest, simplest, and most cost effective alternative route to gaining an official teacher license.

Sales representatives shall be charged with traveling throughout the state, establishing relationships with local schools, and enrolling candidates in the ABCTE alternative teacher certification program.

Qualified candidates must:

  • Enjoy building relationships

  • Be results driven
  • Enjoy public speaking and making presentations
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree (minimum)
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and transportation
  • Understand how public schools operate
  • High energy and confident personality needed

Essential Job Functions:

  • Explain the ABCTE program and how it benefits schools and their communities by providing the opportunity to become certified for the classroom.
  • Open the door with public school HR representatives, superintendents, and principals to build relationships and solve their teacher certification needs.
  • Prospect and assess the community and school needs getting their teachers highly qualified, especially in high needs areas.
  • Deliver presentations and sell to potential candidates within the community who might need ABCTE’s services in becoming licensed.
  • Enter contacts, meeting outcomes, leads and lead information into ABCTE’s database.
  • Stay abreast of teacher hiring and changes in teacher staffing.
  • Provide weekly progress reports to the ABCTE office.

Below is a table outlining the compensation potential on an annual goal of 200 enrollments.

Commission $200 per enrollment up to target
Financial aid commission $150 for a financial aid enrollment
Volume bump $250 per enrollment past target

  • Cell phone allowance – $50 per month
  • Expenses are fully reimbursed including travel, meals and lodging
