Dyslexia, a common learning difference that affects language processing, impacts millions of people worldwide. In fact, an estimated 2<\/a>0 percent<\/a> of Americans have dyslexia. Furthermore, people with dyslexia represent 80\u201390 percent of all those with learning disabilities as it is the most common neuro-cognitive disorder. Access to proper resources is critical in supporting those with dyslexia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While dyslexia presents challenges in reading, writing, and spelling, it does not reflect a person’s intelligence or capability. Indeed, many individuals with dyslexia possess exceptional creativity, problem-solving skills, and innovative thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of International Dyslexia Day (October 8th) is to foster understanding and empathy. Schools, communities, and workplaces are encouraged to educate themselves about dyslexia and create inclusive environments where everyone can thrive. Early identification and intervention are key to helping individuals with dyslexia develop effective learning strategies and build confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n
